Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center located at 1500 Grand Central Avenue in Vienna, WV, is seeking a full-time Banquet Captain/Sales Assistant with at least one year of relevant experience to join their team. The successful candidate will be able to work Monday to Friday days/night and weekends/holidays as needed.

Banquet Captain Pay Rate: $14-16/hr. plus share of tips from events

Banquet Captain Duties:

• Oversee banquet events and ensure smooth operations
• Coordinate with clients to understand their needs/preferences
• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications
• Train new staff members on procedures & service stds
• Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly & professionally
• Book events/receptions, data entry & payment processing

Banquet Captain Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Excellent leadership and team mgmt skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a face-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in interviewing, training, and evaluating staff members
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
